Paying rent every month can be a challenge. In some months, there are more bills to pay – in August, for example, you might have increase childcare costs or new school uniforms to buy.

MTVH is trialing FlexMyRent to put you in charge of your rent payments.

FlexMyRent is a scheme that allows you to agree a rent payment schedule with us. You can underpay in months where money is tight and overpay when you have more money in the bank.

How it works

You pay the same total of rent over the year, but the amount of rent you pay each month is flexible.

Case Study

Coping with financial pinch points

Jane was a FlexMyRent user with a five-year-old daughter, who found it difficult to meet costs in the summer holidays. As a single parent with a part-time job, she didn’t have spare money to cover these costs. She saw FlexMyRent as a way to better manage these extra costs.

By using FlexMyRent, Jane could have access to additional money in August to buy new school uniforms and P.E. kit. In addition, she chose reduce the amount she paid in December to cover the extra gas bill and new clothes for her daughter. “I even had some extra money left over in January, which was good as it helped with the cost of food and other bills until (my daughter) went back to school.”
