30 October 2020

Summary:We welcomed Julie Marson, MP for Hertford and Stortford, to the SO Resi Ware development in her constituency. The local MP was accompanied by the SO Resi team to take a tour and see what shared ownership homes have to offer to the local community.

At MTVH, we are committed to supporting people to have a home and the chance to live well. Our affordable SO Resi shared ownership homes make homeownership possible by offering people the option to buy a share of their home, with a lower deposit, smaller mortgage and monthly payments.

SO Resi Ware is one of MTVH’s most recent shared ownership schemes located in Crane Mead, offering one to three-bedroom homes near the historic centre of Ware. This development comprises 15 affordable rent and 86 shared ownership homes, and is within walking distance of Ware Station and its direct rail links to central London.

Last week, we were delighted to welcome Julie Marson, MP for Hertford and Stortford, to a tour the SO Resi Ware development in her constituency to take a look at the latest phase of new homes. Commenting her visit, Ms Marson MP said: “SO Resi’s site in Ware is helping people across our community to access home ownership”, she explained, “this is something that I am big champion of and it’s very positive to see.”

Ms Marson MP also shared a word of encouragement to those looking to get on the property ladder by recommending they consider the staircasing model of shared ownership, “to help them achieve their dream of owning their own home.”

Director of Residential Investment, Kush Rawal, was also in attendance to discuss the scheme, the role of shared ownership, and its future.

“It was great to have the opportunity to meet with the local MP and tour the affordable homes MTVH is bringing to the area”, Kush Rawal said. “Shared ownership plays such an important role across the UK, bridging the gap between renting and buying and for many customers, it is a way to get onto the property ladder by purchasing of a share of the property.”
