Social Value Week 2024: Building Stronger Communities

25 November 2024

Summary: As Social Value Week 2024 approaches, we’re proud to spotlight our efforts to create lasting social value.

Led by the Social Value Leadership Group (SVLG), this week showcases impactful initiatives across the housing sector, exploring themes like employment, sustainability, and community well-being. We’ll also celebrate our supply chain partners and their contributions to social value, honouring nominees for the Social Value Week Awards.

Delivering social value is central to our mission, through partnerships with contractors, local stakeholders, and residents, we’ve expanded our portfolio of programs to address immediate needs and drive long-term impact. Collaborating with trusted partners, we’re building inclusive, thriving communities.

Themes of Social Value Week 2024 include:

  • Social Value and Sustainability
  • Employment, Training, and Skills
  • Governance and Infrastructure
  • Supply-Chain Awards
  • Celebrating Social Value

This year, MTVH leads Employment, Training, and Skills Day with a podcast: “Is the Housing Sector Still Innovating Employment and Training Solutions to Meet the Needs of Residents for the Future?” Hosted by Kelly Thomas, Social Value and Fundraising Manager at MTVH, and featuring Victoria Whittle, Head of Employment and Training at Clarion, and Dominic Briant, Director of Community Impact at MTVH. This conversation explores innovative employment solutions and the role of social value in driving meaningful change.

Aligned with The Big Six pledges from the SVLG, we prioritise equitable employment pathways, tackling the gender pay gap, and supporting social mobility.
